THE AFRICA HUMAN TRAFFICKING TASKFORCE (AHTTF)

Who We Are

The Africa Human Trafficking Taskforce (AHTTF) is a regional social change not for- Profit
Organization aiming to restore dignity for the victims of human trafficking and advocate for
inclusive political interventions across Africa.
During its research, AHTTF observed that, human trafficking in Africa has always been a social,
political and economic challenge and it poses a strategic policy challenge on how effectively human
trafficking could be combated. Therefore, due to lack of a regional holistic legal framework, many
victims continue to be vulnerable to extreme exploitation, re-trafficking and victimization. As such,
AHTTF objectives are victim-centered and it incorporates the political, social and economic
dimensions in its interventions by providing direct services and assistance to victims of trafficking
in persons including rescue, repatriation, healthcare, psychosocial counselling, shelter, legal aid,
family integration, skills training and job placement. Furthermore, AHTTF understands well that,
with its uniqueness, human trafficking in Africa cannot be fully intervened without education and
awareness. Thus, the AHTTF carries out workshops, trainings and dialogue across Africa.

Our Vision:

We envision the African continent where communities are well equipped and made aware of the impacts of human trafficking on societies and sustainable development and peace. A continent where all people are treated with dignity and are given the opportunity to belong and be protected by law.

Our Mission:

To create an equitable environment for all where Africans are treated with dignity within and outside the continent.

Our Pillars:

We research, we learn, we listen, we engage, we reform and we transform.
